Stoke by Nayland Resort is seeking an HR Assistant who will perform a wide range of human resources functions in areas including recruitment, onboarding and induction, maintaining employee records, and payroll.
The role will assist the Head of People & Culture to support business objectives and provide support to team members and managers in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

* Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations issues
* Assist with recruitment and retention, and administer the recruitment process, assisting with interviews as required
* Assist with offboarding processes
* Lead the Resort Induction, ensuring all new team members receive a consistent welcome
* Prepare HR letters and employment-related documentation, including offer letters, job descriptions, and contracts
* Build and maintain credible and professional relationships with managers and team members
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records on both the digital platforms and systems, and internal records and spreadsheets in line with GDPR requirements
* Act as the first point of contact for workplace issues, including grievances and disciplinary matters
* Liaise with our external HR Compliance Advice Service on employee relation cases, ensuring advice is followed
* Support payroll by effectively communicating HR data, including starters, leavers, absences, and changes to terms
* Ensure HR is administered in accordance with UK employment law and company policies
* Respond to general employee queries on HR policies and processes
* Support training and learning initiatives and work with managers to facilitate employee development and manage performance
* Develop positive relationships with local schools and organise and administer work experience placements
* Administer the employee benefits scheme, including membership cards and management of the membership system
* Maintain confidentiality and integrity, and handle sensitive information professionally
