Assistant SENCO – Full-time, temporary until July 2026, with the possibility to go permanent in September 2026. Duties as Assistant SENCO: Support the SENCO in coordinating provision for pupils with SEND. Assist with reviewing needs, support plans and documentation. Help implement strategies for pupils with SEMH needs. Work alongside teachers to ensure effective classroom adaptations. Support assessments, interventions and monitoring processes. Liaise with families and external professionals when required. Promote inclusion and ensure pupils can access learning successfully. Ideal Assistant SENCO: Must hold QTS, and Relevant qualifications and experience supporting SEND. Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective support strategies. Able to work collaboratively across teaching and support teams. Effective communicator with strong organisational skills. Confident in supporting assessments and tracking progress.
