The Role:
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will be an essential part of the primary school team, working closely with teachers to support young children in their learning and development. Your enthusiasm, patience, and dedication will help create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to Key Stage 1 students.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
* Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
* Monitor and document students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
* Encourage positive behaviour and help children develop essential social and emotional skills.
* Support the class teacher in managing the classroom and ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to understanding and addressing the diverse needs of learners.
* Creativity and adaptability to design and implement engaging learning activities.
* Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
* A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
