This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching for a suitably experienced candidate). Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons that foster critical thinking, source analysis, and a deep understanding of the past. Cover a range of historical periods and topics, adhering to the National Curriculum and preparing students for GCSE and potentially A-Level examinations. Develop students' historical skills, including research, interpretation, argumentation, and essay writing. Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages debate and intellectual curiosity. Assess student progress rigorously and provide detailed, constructive feedback. Contribute to the ongoing development of the History curriculum and departmental resources. Teaching within an Outstanding school Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in History or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level, with a track record of excellent student outcomes. Strong 1 subject knowledge and a passion for history. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
