Sales Manager – South of England & Wales - (Solid Board) Packaging

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Cumbernauld, with flexibility for some remote work. The Sales Manager - (Solid Board) Packaging will be responsible for driving sales and building strong client relationships within the solid board packaging sector. Their daily duties will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients, creating and implementing strategic sales plans, and ensuring customer needs are met. Working closely with internal teams, the Sales Manager will also track market trends and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities
· Identify and acquire new customers in relevant sectors (e.g. Meat, Poultry, Game, Fish, Fruit & Veg.)
· Understand customer needs and develop tailored packaging solutions
· Build trust-based relationships with decision-makers across procurement, marketing and operations
· Stay on top of market trends, customer demands and competitive moves
· Act as the local commercial face in the UK – both on the road and online
· Report directly to Senior Management team in the UK
Qualifications
* Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, particularly in the packaging or manufacturing industry
* Strong knowledge of sales strategies, client relationship management, and market research
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize time effectively
* Proficiency in using CRM software and various sales-related tools
* Understanding of solid board or packaging products is advantageous
* Willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland as needed
* Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
