As an Inventory Planner within our Small Gas Turbines Planning & Control function, you will play a key role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support our service operations.
Your day will involve analysing demand forecasts, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain material availability while minimising cost and obsolescence. You will work closely with planning, operations, purchasing, and engineering teams, using data and systems such as SAP to drive efficient and effective inventory management across the business.
What You’ll Make an Impact
* Verify demand forecasts and translate them into inventory plans aligned with medium and long-term business objectives.
* Manage ongoing material changes, ensuring new or modified parts are accurately reflected in planning systems.
* Proactively manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory, working cross-functionally to minimise financial impact.
* Monitor and reduce aged work-in-progress, coordinating with operations to resolve issues and improve flow.
* Manage repair and spare parts inventory in line with demand, including excess stock control.
* Lead and support initiatives to predict and reduce inventory obsolescence across the supply chain.
* Develop and enhance SAP and data-driven processes to improve reporting, visibility, and decision-making.
* Generate and present inventory performance reports to senior stakeholders.
What You Bring
* Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or logistics, including internships or early career roles.
* Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
* Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP, and strong Excel/data analysis skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
