Assistant Surveyor - 2026 Commercial Graduate Programme
Our Leeds office is a friendly, collaborative team working across business rates, valuation, lease consultancy, agency and minerals & waste management. Graduates joining the team will gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects in Yorkshire, the North East and beyond, while benefiting from structured training, mentorship and exposure to high-profile clients. Programme Overview
Newmark’s 2-year graduate real estate programme is the perfect way to kickstart your career in commercial real estate. You’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple disciplined teams, work with senior professionals, and develop the skills and competencies needed to achieve your MRICS qualification through the 2-year cognate APC route. Newmark also offers a 2.5-year graduate programme, designed for students to complete a RICS-accredited MSc in Real Estate with the University of the Built Environment (UBE). This route is suitable if your undergraduate degree is not RICS-accredited but you want to fast track your MRICS qualification.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough research on market trends, property values, and economic indicators to support strategic decision-making.
* Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and proposals for clients, ensuring clear communication of insights and recommendations.
* Participate in site visits to assess property conditions, gather data, and contribute to due diligence processes.
* Collaborate with senior professionals on various projects, providing analytical support and contributing to project deliverables.
* Engage in continuous learning opportunities, including training sessions and mentorship, to support progression towards MRICS qualification.
* Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Working Hours
The Firm’s core hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., with flexibility to start and end around these hours while delivering 7.25 hours per day. The role may require out-of-hours work on an as-necessary basis.
