Role Overview
Creative Support is a busy and dynamic national charity with a track record in providing high‑quality, person‑centred support services in over 65 Local Authorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Share the delivery of two large weekly evening discos in Middlesbrough and Stockton on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6pm – 9.30pm, for adults with a learning disability or other support need.
* Coordinate a small team of staff and helpers and ensure the smooth running of the discos.
* Support the setup of an additional disco in Darlington on Wednesday evenings.
* Identify further opportunities to expand the discos and utilise partnerships with other organisations.
* Develop, plan and deliver social activities across the region focusing on the north of the region (County Durham, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Gateshead and Newcastle).
* Deliver existing activities as part of our wider offer and work closely with the Regional Development Team.
* Support wider regional development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
* Skilled in planning and delivering events and activities.
* Effective communication and networking abilities.
* Ability to maintain records and coordinate resources.
* Well‑organised, hard working and flexible, able to work independently and adapt to changing needs.
* Enthusiasm for working directly with people to create meaningful opportunities.
* Good interest in and awareness of the wider social care sector.
Additional Requirements
* Must possess a clean and valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
* Fixed‑term role for 12 months.
* Based between the Stockton Regional Office and Gateshead Area Office; travel across the North East region required.
