Job Title: QHSE Advisor Location: Claydon, Ipswich (time split between two group businesses on the same site) Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, permanent The Opportunity An established and highly respected engineering group is seeking a QHSE Advisor to join their team and support two complementary businesses operating from the same site. The group has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality work on a number of prestigious engineering and construction projects and offers a structured, stable working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive QHSE professional who enjoys being hands-on, visible on site, and working closely with operational teams to drive high standards across quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance. The Role Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager, who will also act as your line manager, you will work collaboratively to ensure QHSE activities are delivered to a consistently high standard across both businesses. Your time will be split between the two companies, providing variety while remaining based on a single site. Key responsibilities will include: Supporting and promoting a positive health, safety, quality, and environmental culture Conducting internal audits and inspections across the site Assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of ISO management systems Supporting incident investigations, risk assessments, and method statements Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and internal procedures Working closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement About You The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a QHSE, HSE, or similar advisory role Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice Experience carrying out audits and inspections ISO knowledge (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) A collaborative, practical approach with strong attention to detail The confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels What's on Offer Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience On-site parking The opportunity to work within a stable, well-structured engineering group Exposure to prestigious and technically interesting projects Supportive leadership and close collaboration with an experienced Health & Safety Manager If you're looking to join a professional, well-established engineering group where quality and safety genuinely matter, this role offers both stability and the opportunity to make a real impact.
