Job Title: Quality Control Operative
Location: Camden Group, Steeple Road Site
Shift Pattern: Day Shift
1. Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
2. Friday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
Rate of Pay: £14.02 per hour
About the Role
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Operative to join our team at the Camden Group’s Steeple Road site. This is a key role within our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers.
Key Responsibilities
3. Conduct end-of-line quality checks in line with QC Standard Operating Procedures
4. Identify, document, and report quality issues throughout the manufacturing process
5. Support production teams in recognising defects and implementing corrective actions
6. Work collaboratively to reduce remakes across all factories
7. Communicate effectively with the Quality Manager, Production Managers, and Supervisors
8. Ensure all quality control tasks are completed daily and any issues are cleared promptly
9. Provide daily reports outlining quality concerns and trends
10. Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints
11. Carry out manual handling duties, including occasional heavy lifting of window and door components
Essential Criteria
12. Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment
13. Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues
14. Strong verbal and written communication skills
15. Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office
16. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
17. Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven approach
18. Flexibility to work reasonable overtime when required
19. Physically capable of manual handling, including intermittent heavy lifting
20. Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing
