Are you a caring individual looking to join a nurturing team to support Children and Young People? CAMHS is expanding with a brand‑new 8‑bed inpatient High Intensity Environment/PICU at Alumhurst Road,.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional care to young people aged 13‑18 with complex mental health needs.
* Assist in organised activities and contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment.
* Offer emotional support and make accurate records of patient observations using the RiO patient records computer system.
* Report complaints from young people, families and carers to the trained staff on duty.
* Complete a five‑day Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course before commencing work.
* Perform other duties appropriate to the role as requested by the nurse in charge.
Qualifications
* Strong communication skills and compassion.
* Desirable: previous experience in healthcare.
* Desirable: driving licence as there may be a requirement to transport young people.
* Must be able to complete the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course.
Shift Patterns
* Early – 07:00 to 15:00
* Late – 12:00 to 20:00
* Twilight – 16:00 to 00:00
* Nights (enhanced pay) – 19:30 to 07:30
* Long days – 07:00 to 20:00
Working Hours
This is a full‑time role; part‑time applicants are welcome with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week. Weekend and night shifts are required with enhanced pay available.
