Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Barnsley (S70, S71) Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day supply Provide reliable classroom support and help maintain continuity in learning when teaching staff are absent! GSL Education are inviting applications for a confident Cover Supervisor to work across schools in Barnsley (S70, S71), ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged throughout the school day. As Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise pre-set lessons, manage behaviour effectively, and create a calm, structured environment where students can complete their work successfully. Key duties of Cover Supervisor: Oversee lessons using materials prepared by teaching staff Maintain clear expectations and positive classroom behaviour Support pupils in understanding and completing assigned tasks Record attendance and report any concerns to senior staff Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies Essential Requirements: Previous experience working with young people Strong behaviour management and communication skills Confidence leading a classroom independently A professional, adaptable, and organised approach An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What’s in It for You?
