The Opportunity
In2tec is a UK-Headquartered advanced electronics manufacturer and technology leader specialising in Flexi‑Hibrid™ PCBA, complex electronic assemblies, and sustainable electronics technologies ReUSE® and ReCYCLE™.
We are now seeking an Operations Director to take full ownership of global manufacturing operations and New Product Introduction (NPI), leading the industrialisation of highly differentiated electronics products from prototype through to stable volume production across UK and overseas sites.
This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, manufacturing execution, and supply chain control.
The Role
As Operations Director, you will be accountable for:
* End‑to‑end manufacturing operations across UK and overseas production facilities
* Full NPI ownership, from early prototype builds through pilot, transfer, and series production
* Complex PCBA and Flexi‑Hibrid™ electronics manufacturing, including flexible, semi‑rigid and rigid substrate assemblies
* Supplier management and procurement strategy, supporting both NPI and volume manufacture
* Quality, process discipline, and operational scalability, aligned to demanding automotive and high‑reliability environments
You will act as the operational bridge between R&D, engineering, suppliers and customers, ensuring new products are industrialised efficiently, repeatably and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead UK and overseas electronics manufacturing operations, ensuring delivery against quality, cost and lead‑time targets
* Own NPI programme delivery, including:
* Cross‑functional project leadership
* DFM / DFA / DFT and manufacturing readiness
* Supply‑chain and material validation
* Controlled production transfer between sites
* Develop and execute a global operations and industrialisation strategy aligned to In2tec’s technology roadmap
* Lead supplier selection, qualification and performance management, including overseas partners
* Drive process excellence, yield improvement and right‑first‑time build
* Ensure manufacturing and NPI processes support sustainability and circular‑economy objectives
* Build, lead and develop multi‑site operational and NPI teams
What We’re Looking For
Essential experience:
* Senior operations leadership within electronics manufacturing / PCBA
* Proven ownership of NPI from prototype to volume production
* Deep technical understanding of SMT, hybrid assembly, PCBA quality and industrialisation
* Background in automotive, motorsport, aerospace or other high‑reliability sectors
Highly desirable:
* Experience with flexible, flexi‑hibrid™ or printed electronics
* Exposure to low‑volume, high‑complexity, high‑value electronics
* Experience embedding sustainability or circular‑economy principles into manufacturing
* Comfortable operating in entrepreneurial, technology‑led businesses
* Strong experience managing overseas manufacturing and global suppliers
