£460 - £500 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role
This Primary School in Gateshead (NE9) are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis for the final half-term of the academic year. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the position will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 2, who has recently been given an EHCP. The role will include working with the child in-class, as well as supporting with the additional interventions required. The role would extend into September if it is the right fit. This is a ‘Good’ Primary School, where staff are committed to supporting each child and using adaptive strategies to meet children’s needs.
Requirements
The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
