People Development SpecialistFull time, permanent We have an exciting opportunity for a People Development Specialist to join our HR team. Reporting to the People Development Manager, the People Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting and driving the People Development agenda to deliver an exceptional MSC UK people experience. You will help identify current and future skills needs, design flexible learning interventions (both digital and in-person), and implement and evaluate development programmes. Skills and experience you’ll bring to us An experienced people development professional, with a proven background of delivering results through learning Able to conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across all areas of the business Strong ability to design a range of blended learning interventions, including induction, technical, behavioural and leadership programmes Knowledge of using digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programmes Comfortable facilitating and delivering an array of training to a variety of audiences Experienced in evaluating training outcomes to demonstrate return of investment and transfer of learning Ability to influence and develop effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders, including subject matter experts, vendors and managers etc. Highly organised with proven time management skills, including the ability to adhere to strict deadlines Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft office suite and running/creating system reports Competent in the use of new systems with the ability to quickly learn and utilise new platforms and digital solutions Support flexible solutions with the ability to adapt and positively respond to change Self-driven and passionate about making a difference and delivering high quality Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences Level 3 CIPD qualified (preferred), or equivalent professional experience is essential How you will help us and what you can expect Ensure all internal and external training programmes are coordinated to the highest standard, including the development of comprehensive training schedules, the creation of detailed training materials, and the facilitation of engaging training sessions. Ensure all resources and documentation are available to the stakeholders involved (e.g. toolkits, workshops, seminars, inductions, e-learning, courses etc.) Coordinate completion of e-learning modules, implementation of robust tracking and reporting, and the analysis of e-learning data to identify areas for improvement. Also has ability to develop material for e-learning. Design and deliver innovative learning solutions, ensuring MSC’s brand standards are consistently applied. This includes the creation of bespoke training programmes tailored to the specific needs of different departments, the use of cutting-edge learning technologies Deliver face-to-face and online training sessions, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and aligned with the company's objectives and culturally aligned Liaise with third party/external providers and suppliers as and when required Maintain a register of delegates and course administration, keeping accurate training records in line with compliance regulation requirements. This includes the development of a robust record-keeping system, the regular auditing of training records, and the provision of detailed reports to senior management Support with the development of technical competency frameworks and supporting development solutions, including the identification of key competencies, the creation of competency-based training programmes, and the continuous evaluation and improvement of competency frameworks Oversee and deliver relevant talent programmes such as apprenticeship/work experience schemes, including the development of programme content, the coordination of programme logistics, and the provision of ongoing support to programme participants Work with Central Services to develop system reports to support the identification of trends and patterns for example, completion, quality and compliance, to drive improvements and provide information to senior management Develop and coordinate the evaluation of all activities ensuring that objectives have been delivered against plan, including the development of robust evaluation frameworks and delivering against auditing requirements To be the first point of contact for all People Development related events and queries Support the HR Team on People Development projects as and when required What we give back to you What you’ll get from us is encouragement, support and the chance to develop yourself in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
