This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, taking responsibility for audit assignments from planning through to completion while maintaining direct client contact.
Responsibilities
* Planning and leading external audit assignments from start to completion
* Preparing audit files, workpapers, and completion documentation
* Identifying risk areas and ensuring compliance with relevant audit standards
* Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact
* Presenting audit findings and recommendations
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members
* Managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines
Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Current external audit experience within a UK accountancy practice is essential
* Experience leading or supporting audit assignments
* Strong understanding of audit and financial reporting standards
* Good organisational and communication skills
