Job Title: Accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant Contract Type: Minimum 4 Months with possible extensionJob Overview We are seeking a cohort of suitably qualified and accredited Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs) to support the delivery of our Occupational Therapy service. The successful candidates will have a minimum of three years' professional experience and will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality assessments and interventions. This role requires a proactive, organised, and professional individual capable of managing assessments independently while adhering to service standards and local policies. Key Responsibilities Complete a minimum of three Occupational Therapy assessments per week to a professional and timely standard.To provide appropriate assessment and support to customers and formal/informal carers (this could be over the telephone, in a clinic or at the customer's residence).To arrange for appropriate, effective therapy service interventions (within the scope of the role) that enable individuals to achieve optimum control of their lives.To provide quality information and advice, signposting and resolving queries to support the Therapy and Equipment Service.Support the Occupational Therapy team in delivering person-centred care and rehabilitation plans.Assist in implementing treatment programmes under the guidance of qualified Occupational Therapists.Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in line with service and regulatory requirements.Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders as required.Follow local policies, procedures, and supervision arrangements at all times.Contribute to service delivery improvements and maintain high professional standards. Essential Requirements Accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant qualification.Minimum three years' professional experience in an Occupational Therapy setting.Current and valid DBS check.Strong understanding of Occupational Therapy assessment processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of safeguarding and professional standards. Contract Information Minimum engagement period of four months.Potential for extension or transition into an ongoing locum contract, subject to service need.Flexible working arrangements may be considered in line with service requirements.
