Job Opportunity: Technical Motor Underwriter
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Motor Underwriter to join the UK Commercial Solutions Team, supporting trading teams in developing solutions for complex cases and risk profiles.
This role is ideal for someone with high underwriting authority eager to expand their knowledge and segment expertise, creating market-leading propositions and solutions for individual cases and business blocks, working closely with the Trading and Broker Performance Team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with underwriting strategy, principles, best practices, and processes.
2. Lead the development of open market propositions for the commercial Mid-Market segment.
3. Develop and lead strong Commercial Motor Underwriting capabilities across trading teams.
4. Monitor and analyze performance within the Mid-Market Commercial Motor Segment to support SME planning and linkages with the CUO Team.
5. Build expertise and knowledge across the Commercial Motor Sector.
Skills and Experience:
* Experienced Commercial Motor Underwriter with high underwriting authority, seeking to expand knowledge across Property and Liability classes.
* Understanding of performance issues at the Commercial Segment level for Mid-Market, Scheme, and Small Commercial Business.
* Strong commercial acumen to build and present business cases.
* Proven leadership and mentoring skills within a large organization.
* Good knowledge of risk management applicable to the Commercial Motor Segment.
