Role Overview: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality early years education by working alongside experienced teachers and practitioners. You will help create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive and develop key skills. Responsibilities as an EYFS Teaching Assistant: Assist with planning and delivering play-based learning activities. Support children’s personal, social, emotional, physical, and communication development. Help prepare learning resources and maintain a tidy and safe classroom environment. Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among children. Observe and record children’s progress and development. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and carers to support individual needs. Requirements for EYFS Teaching Assistant: Experience working with children in an early years or childcare setting is desirable. Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles is beneficial. A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting young learners. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply. A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
