JOB SUMMARY
Calero, the leading technology expense management solution for complex enterprises, is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join one of our teams in the UK. Reporting to a Sr. Director of Engineering, the successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on innovative, highly visible and business critical software that gets used every day within the world’s largest financial institutions and multi-national organisations.

This role will have working hours of 10:30am to 7pm GMT Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute lunch break.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
1. Proficient in C#.NET and SQL
2. Experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript
3. Ability to convert mockups or designs into functional components
4. Thorough understanding of code reuse and extensibility
5. Object-oriented programming knowledge and knowledge of sound design patterns
6. Strong understanding of software testing principles and experience writing various levels of tests
DESIRABLE SKILLS
7. Demonstrated understanding of the use of AI based LLM technologies such as Google Gemini, Claude, etc.
8. Experience with Data Wrangling in Data Analysis. (e.g. Transforming raw unstructured data into a usable format)
9. Azure
10. Understanding of web accessibility
11. UI testing frameworks such as React Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
12. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
13. Foundation in software engineering principles and paradigms and passionate about new technologies
14. Two years of experience developing software
