We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our community-based Health Protection Service. As a Deputy Clinical Team Leader, primarily working in vaccination, immunisation, and testing, you will also gain experience within our expanding wider health protection model.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for highly motivated nurses eager to develop their leadership, management, and clinical skills in a dynamic environment. Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm for advancing excellence in population health protection.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead a team of nurses across the Health Board footprint, ensuring high standards in vaccination, immunisation, and testing across all age groups.
2. Support vulnerable settings with nursing guidance on disease prevention, outbreak management, testing, and tracing, including outreach activities such as home visits.
3. Contribute to reducing health inequalities among different communities and act as a clinical lead for immunisation and testing programs.
4. Perform operational duties to ensure smooth service delivery and support the nursing team with line management responsibilities.
5. Deputise for the Clinical Team Leader as required, including progressing clinical programs.
Additional Information
Fluency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
