Locum Consultant Surgeon in Elective Orthopaedics with an Interest in Lower Arthroplasty
NHS Lanarkshire - University Hospital Wishaw
Fixed Term - 12 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a locum consultant post with a sub-specialty interest in lower limb arthroplasty within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Service in NHS Lanarkshire.
Main Duties of the Role
Provide inpatient and outpatient Elective Orthopaedic services and support the lower limb arthroplasty services, focusing on 4 joint lists.

NHS Lanarkshire is an innovative health board serving a population of 650,000 across 3 acute hospitals. The appointment is for a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon interested in lower limb trauma and arthroplasty, to join our multidisciplinary team. The post includes commitment to adult and paediatric trauma at the Wishaw Trauma Unit, part of the West of Scotland Major Trauma Network. There is also an opportunity to develop a full elective practice at other hospitals in Lanarkshire, including a dedicated elective unit at Hairmyres Hospital.
