Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising junior staff, implementing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and changes in condition.
* Foster effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care and improve service delivery.
* Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a senior care or supervisory role within a care home setting is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with residents and their families compassionately.
* Familiarity with developing and maintaining care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Proficient IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
