The Opportunity:
If you have a passion for speed and precision, consider joining our Finance & Reporting team as our new Finance Administrator. This elite team plays a crucial role in maintaining accounting operations by executing swift and efficient financial processing and reporting while minimising errors. You will be confident in the use of finance systems as you will be in charge of the workflow for bills and expenses as well as our sales income. You must be able to apply our internal financial controls correctly, be vigilant to the risk of fraud and accurate in your tax coding! On top of that, you will be a strong communicator, able to build productive working relationships bank-wide to make sure all co-workers are trained, challenged and supported to conduct their transactions correctly. We have a focus on efficiency and where you spot better ways of working you will call them out. We are a team that works at pace so you will be someone with a high work ethic and be proven to deliver.
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join us at our Bristol head office on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract basis. This position is responsible for the processing of purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit cards, and co-worker expenses for Triodos Bank. The role supports a variety of projects and collaborates closely with both internal and external audit, as well as Group Finance.

This vacancy has arisen due to the promotion of the current postholder.
We offer flexible hybrid working arrangements - typically requiring two days per week in our Bristol office, with the option to work from home on other days.
Key responsibilities will require you to:
1. Process and reconcile purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, expenses, and credit card claims in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain and update supplier records, purchase ledger authorisation matrix, and ensure accurate VAT coding and supplier account reconciliations.
3. Prepare and process supplier payments (including weekly BACS runs) and manual payment requests.
4. Support internal and external audits by preparing audit files, assisting with audit reviews, and implementing relevant recommendations.
5. Develop strong working relationships across the Bank, coaching and supporting colleagues to adhere to financial processes and policies.
6. Provide ad hoc expenditure analysis, maintain process documentation, and contribute to finance and system improvement projects.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, internal governance, and contribute to maintaining up-to-date, user-friendly finance intranet resources.
What We Are Looking For:
You have a productive and can do attitude and will relish a long To Do list. Your work ethic means you feel comfortable in a team that is always busy. Ideally, you will have experience working within a finance team, with a solid understanding of processing transactions. You will be inquisitive and keen to improve our operations. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and finance systems is essential, and you will be looking for ways to speed up our processes using AI.

What we offer
In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a competitive full time equivalent salary of between £27,500 and £30,000 depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
