Job Description:
A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing Data Management team.
This role reports to the Global Head of Data and involves working closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. The position has a technical/engineering focus, optimizing data pipeline operations and quality management, from raw data onboarding to delivering data points to front office and investment teams.
You will utilize your knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, MATLAB to perform quality checks and identify anomalies through complex data analysis. You will serve as the main interface between data sourcing and engineering, acting as the point of contact for traders.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating on ad hoc projects with front office and technology teams, testing new data onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing a centralized data management platform.
Candidates should have 2-7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst within hedge funds, asset management, or major data vendors. A strong academic background and experience with advanced programming languages for large dataset analysis are required.
The role offers a base salary up to £125K plus a performance bonus. Initially, the role requires a 5-day office week, with potential for 1-2 days WFH once established.
