The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of bulk materials using a walking floor trailer. This role involves both driving and some manual handling, ensuring that all loads are transported in compliance with company procedures and current legislation.

Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class 1 articulated vehicle fitted with a walking floor trailer .
Transport a variety of bulk goods (e.g. wood chips, recycling materials, waste, agricultural products, aggregates) to and from customer sites.
Carry out vehicle and trailer checks in line with company policy and legal requirements.
Load and unload materials using the walking floor system safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate delivery and collection records, including completion of relevant paperwork and digital systems.
Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and site staff.
Adhere to all Health & Safety, Road Transport, and Tachograph regulations.
Report any defects, incidents, or delays promptly to the Transport Office.
Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
Requirements: Essential:
Valid Class 1 (C+E) UK driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card .
Proven experience operating walking floor trailers (or similar bulk transport equipment).
Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience in waste, recycling, or agricultural haulage sectors.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or nights if required.
ADR (Hazardous Goods) licence – advantageous but not essential.
