Site Engineer - Water Infrastructure Location: Kent Rate: Up to £350 per day Contract: Freelance / Contract Payment: CIS Employer: Specialist Subcontractor (Water Sector) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of a water infrastructure project in Kent. Working for a specialist subcontractor, you will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme on a live utilities site. Key Responsibilities Setting out for water infrastructure works including pipelines, chambers, pumping stations, and associated civils Providing engineering support to site management and subcontractor teams Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards Managing as-built records and assisting with RAMS and ITPs Carrying out site surveys, checks, and measurements Liaising with the main contractor, client representatives, and design teams Resolving technical and engineering issues on site Monitoring quality and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met at all times Requirements Proven experience as a Site Engineer on water or utilities infrastructure projects Strong setting-out experience using GPS/Total Station equipment Good understanding of clean and/or wastewater works Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications CSCS card (minimum requirement) SMSTS or SSSTS desirable Strong communication and problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence What's on Offer Day rate up to £350 per day CIS payment available Weekly payments Ongoing work for the right candidate
