As Commercial Manager you’ll be a passionate leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support your team in order to exceed your commercial goals. You’ll have high standards when it comes to guest experience, understand brand standards and you’ll take ownership and pride in your work.

To be successful as a Commercial Manager within our team, it’s essential you have experience in achieving revenue budgets across rooms, groups and meetings & events. You will manage a small but perfectly formed team all based on property in Manchester. Coaching and developing them to achieve and even exceed all targets. This role is right for you if you’re innovative, have high expectations of yourself, and others, and have proven experience in leading and motivating a revenue team. You’ll demonstrate your passion by bringing new ideas to the table, delivering on your promises and inspiring those around you.

Responsibilities

* Driving market share and revenue performance by managing inventory and setting pricing and selling strategies for all market segments across distribution channels.
* Carrying out business analysis including pick-up and lead times, refused and denied business, sources of business, trends in market segmentation, and competitor landscape to reflect changing demand in pricing strategies.
* Working with the Director of Sales and Marketing to devise promotions to generate business at key times in accordance with demand levels.
* Collaborating with Sales and Marketing to ensure website content is optimised to increase conversion.
* Participating in the annual budgeting and planning process for the hotel’s revenue lines and contributing to the Sales and Marketing plan and RFP processes.
* Producing and updating forecasts for rooms and groups, meetings & events.
* Communicating revenue strategies to all departments within the hotel and driving understanding of Revenue KPIs within the Revenue, Sales and Reception teams.
* Ensuring consistent delivery of superior customer service through relevant programmes where applicable.


Requirements

* Proven experience in Revenue management, with a track record of success across multiple revenue streams.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower team members.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
* A passion for hospitality and a relentless commitment to excellence.
