Field Service Chemist - Laboratory Instrumentation
UK -50-75% Travel with Occasional International Travel (North West base would be desired)
Up to £38,000 per annum
Russell Taylor Group have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Chemist who enjoys getting out of the lab and into the field.
We are recruiting for a Field Service Chemist to join a leading scientific instrumentation organisation. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role combining chemistry, engineering, troubleshooting and travel across the UK.
The Role:
Service, maintain and repair advanced analytical instrumentation
Install new systems and deliver customer training on how to upkeep maintenance tasks.
Be on hand for customers face to face, phone or email.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and analytical faults
Provide remote and on-site technical support
Prepare paperwork and documentation following the installation of instrumentation.
Manage your own travel schedule and service planning
The Person
Educated to degree level in Chemistry (or closely related discipline)
Strong practical lab skills
Understanding of electrical/electronic principles
Confident reading schematics and technical manuals
Excellent communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Happy to travel 50-75% UK wide and occasional international travel.
