Fostering Panel Manager

* Salary: £45,691 - £49,646
* Hours: 36 per week
We are seeking a dedicated Fostering Panel Manager to oversee our fostering panel operations in Doncaster. This pivotal role involves managing the panel's activities, ensuring that all fostering assessments and approvals are conducted to the highest standards. You will collaborate with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to make decisions in the best interests of children.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee the operations of the fostering panel, ensuring compliance with national standards and regulations.
* Coordinate and manage panel meetings, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups.
* Collaborate with social workers, foster carers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive assessments and approvals.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the panel members, fostering a collaborative and effective environment.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the panel processes and implement improvements as necessary.
* Ensure that all decisions are made with the child’s best interests as the primary focus.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* BA or MA in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Proven experience working with children and families, preferably as a qualified social worker.
* Strong relationship-building skills with children, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
* Ability to analyse information effectively and produce high-quality assessments.
* Commitment to supporting families in making positive changes and enabling children to meet their potential.
