About the Role
To qualify for this role, candidates must be over 18 and pass a basic safeguarding check.
Our stores operate 24/7, offering various shift patterns. We seek flexible workers who can adapt to different shifts, including weekends, which are a requirement. We are willing to accommodate your preferred shifts where possible.
Security colleagues are vital in ensuring the safety of our colleagues and customers, as well as protecting our business. Your responsibilities include patrolling and inspecting both interior and exterior areas of the store for signs of damage, break-ins, or tampering with cash machines. You will also conduct daily checks on fire doors, ensure pathways are clear, and maintain fire door records.
In situations involving conflict or heightened tensions, your support will be crucial in maintaining safety. You will assist your manager with random spot checks, including acting as a witness, inspecting vehicles in the warehouse yard with drivers present, and verifying paperwork related to claims, returns, waste management, and lost property.
