Recruitment Assistant

Closing date: 03 June 2026

We are looking for a proactive and customer‑focused Recruitment Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help deliver a high‑quality recruitment service, supporting teams to recruit the people they need to provide excellent patient care.


About the role

You will support the full recruitment process and act as a key point of contact for managers, applicants and colleagues. Your role will include:

* Responding to recruitment enquiries and providing clear, helpful information
* Supporting the recruitment process from advertisement through to appointment
* Completing pre‑employment checks (right to work, references, DBS)
* Preparing recruitment documents such as offer letters and contracts
* Keeping accurate records and updating recruitment systems
* Working closely with managers and candidates to ensure a smooth, timely process

This is a busy and varied role, where organisation, attention to detail and a positive approach are essential.


Minimum requirements

* A good standard of English Language GCSE (or equivalent qualification)
* NVQ Level 3 in Administration or Customer Services, or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
* Working knowledge of recruitment procedures would be an advantage
* Experience of working in a busy, customer‑focused office environment
* A high level of attention to detail

* NVQ Level 3 in Administration or Customer Services or equivalent experience


Experience and Knowledge

* Evidence of why you are interested in working in recruitment and what has attracted you to this role at UHDB
* Evidence of working in a busy office or customer‑focused environment, including any experience of recruitment processes, handling confidential information, and using IT systems
* Working knowledge of recruitment processes
* Basic understanding of employment law in recruitment


Skills & Abilities

* Evidence of demonstrating a time when you had to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, ensuring accuracy while resolving queries or issues within a process
* Evidence of resolving queries and problem solving within a structured process


Communication & Customer Focus

* Evidence of how you have communicated effectively with a range of people and worked collaboratively to deliver a customer‑focused service
