We are growing quickly and are now looking for a Technical Operations Manager to take full ownership of our delivery function.
This is a key leadership role within the business, with direct responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

The Role
You will take full responsibility for everything that happens after a sale is closed.
This includes managing projects from handover through to installation and commissioning, overseeing the installation team, and acting as the technical authority within the business.
You will be the main bridge between office and site, ensuring smooth delivery, strong communication, and excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Delivery Management
•Take full ownership of all projects post-sale
•Manage project pipeline from survey to commissioning
•Coordinate scheduling of installation teams, scaffolding, and materials
•Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope

Technical Oversight
•Review and validate solar PV system designs (OpenSolar)
•Manage and oversee G98/G99 applications and DNO communications
•Provide technical support to installation teams
•Ensure all systems meet MCS and industry standards

Team Leadership
•Manage and lead installation teams (roofers, electricians, apprentices)
•Set and maintain high installation and safety standards
•Improve team productivity and efficiency
•Act as the main point of contact for site-related issues

Operations Management
•Oversee day-to-day operations of the delivery function
•Work closely with the Office Manager to coordinate scheduling and admin
•Implement and improve operational processes
•Identify and resolve bottlenecks in delivery

Customer Experience
•Own the post-sale customer journey
•Ensure clear and proactive communication with customers
•Handle escalations and resolve issues professionally
•Deliver a high-quality, premium customer experience

Quality Control
•Monitor installation quality and reduce snagging issues
•Sign off completed installations
•Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations

About You
We are looking for someone who can take ownership, make decisions, and operate independently.
Essential:
•Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and battery storage
•Electrical background (Approved electrician prefferred)
•Experience with G98/G99 applications and DNO processes
•Proven experience managing installations or projects
•Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

•Experience using OpenSolar
•Previous experience in a fast-growing solar or construction environment
•Knowledge of premium systems (Sigenergy, Tesla)
