Digital Engineering Project Lead – Major New-Build Prison Project
Location: HMP Wayland, Norfolk (with occasional travel to Cambridge and off-site facilities)
Salary: £70,000–£75,000 + car allowance, bonus and benefits
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Engineering Project Lead to support a major new-build prison scheme, with an MEP value of approximately £95m. This high-profile, multi-year public sector project places digital engineering, BIM, coordination and off-site manufacture at the heart of delivery.
Reporting to the Regional Technical Director, you will lead all digital engineering and BIM activity on the project, acting as the primary digital point of contact for internal teams, the wider alliance and key partners. You will oversee coordination, manage digital scope, budgets and programme, ensure compliance with ISO 19650, and lead data management through to structured asset handover in line with Government Soft Landings.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading all digital engineering, BIM and coordination activities

Managing digital scope, cost and programme, including third-party coordination partners

Ensuring quality, compliance and effective integration of DFMA and off-site manufacture

Overseeing project data, asset information and handover deliverables
*
Collaborating closely with design, engineering and construction teams
*
Supporting development of regional digital engineering capability
About you:

Strong background in digital engineering/BIM on major MEP or complex building projects
*
Solid knowledge of ISO 19650 and structured data management
*
Experience with DFMA/off-site manufacturing is desirable
*
Confident leading coordination processes and engaging senior stakeholders
*
Experience on large-scale public sector or complex projects is advantageous
