Mercia Academy is an 11-16 school in a small town close to the Peak District and near to the cities of Derby and Nottingham. We are looking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic Design Technology Technician to join our team. You will be passionate about encouraging, motivating and inspiring young people through the support you provide, have experience of workshop skills necessary for Construction and Product Design, and be familiar with standard workshop techniques and equipment.Our students are articulate, confident and resilient and we need colleagues who can build on that and further inspire them to achieve strong results.We are delighted to be part of the school rebuilding programme; we are currently in purpose-built temporary accommodation on site whilst the permanent new build is being completed.
