Our Group HR team based at HQ in Mallusk provides a service to all four Henderson Group Companies covering a workforce of circa 5300, which includes our Mallusk distribution/head office functions and 111 company-owned retail stores across the province. The Purpose of the role: Working as part of a team of five HR Advisors and supported by a group administration function, you will deliver a high quality, proactive and efficient HR service to employees and line managers working across our retail stores and head office/distribution centres. You will be the professional point of technical expertise for line management in matters of HR policy and best practice and employment law, providing advice and guidance as required to ensure the Company meets its employment obligations. Working as HR Advisor you will: Handle Employment Relation cases including supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings, assisting with managing sickness absence monitoring and providing support during periods of business changes (reorganisations, TUPE, working practices etc.) Work with L&D on people management training solutions Contribute to the development of effective employee communications Contribute to the promotion of equality of opportunity within the Company and assist with the implementation of relevant equality legislation Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective people information via HR Systems e.g manpower, absence, turnover etc. Coach and counsel line managers to be effective People Managers inspiring them with confidence to handle employee relations matters To undertake projects in key HR areas as agreed with the People Services Manager. Skills for Success Joining us as HR Advisorthe minimum criteria youll need is: A minimum of 2 Years relevant experience of confidently operating in an HR Advisory role within a fast-paced, customer focused environment CIPD qualified (or working towards) Competent standard of employment law knowledge and ability to transfer into practice Full, clean driving license and access to your own vehicle. The Attributesyoull need include: Excellent relationship building skills Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload Effective communication skills, confident with people at all levels Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and business needs. This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday.
