Role
You will be proactively design, develop and deliver organisational development and learning initiatives to support organisational objectives. You will provide input and introduce approaches that support service development and change, and support the development and implementation of organisational development policies. You will also manage the design, delivery, evaluation and monitoring of appropriate organisational development and learning initiatives and programmes.
NHS Lanarkshire provides patient‑centred healthcare to a population of 655,000 across rural and urban communities in both North and South Lanarkshire. The organisation comprises Acute Services, Corporate & Property & Support Services, and North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships, which deliver integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.
What we’ll need you to bring
* Educated to Degree level, preferably with a Post graduate level qualification
* Professional qualifications appropriate to post – e.g. CIPD, psychometric tools, coaching certificate or diploma
* Significant, demonstrable experience of assessing requirement, design/developing, delivering, evaluating and maintaining a range of generic learning programmes, such as induction, communication skills, interpersonal skills, management development and customer care
* Ability to design and facilitate development events for teams
* Good influencing and negotiating skills
* Experienced in Coaching individuals and/or teams
* Experience of facilitation/supporting team development
* Experience of e‑learning
* Experience of/understanding of working in a large, multi‑site organisation
* Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
* Excellent presentation skills
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Good experience of Learning process/group Learning techniques
* Good PC skills – ability to use Microsoft software to a high standard
* Customer focus/positive attitude
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Ability to work under pressure, balancing priorities and working to set timescales
* Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
* Ability to travel between sites in Lanarkshire
Note: A full UK/EU/EEA licence is required for all positions where a driving licence is required.
It would be great if you also have
* Post graduate level qualification
* Demonstrable experience delivering full learning cycle
* Ability to work across staff groups at all levels
* Previous experience of working in Learning, Education or OD environment
* Previous relevant experience working in a large, complex organisation with demonstrable evidence of success
* Knowledge and understanding of Learning or OD theories – e.g. Action learning, coaching etc
* Knowledge, understanding and experience of facilitation work
* Knowledge and understanding of personal and team development approaches
Contract type
Permanent – Full time – 37 hours per week
Location and Working Pattern
Organisational Development within Kirklands – NHS LHR Headquarters. Working pattern will be confirmed by the hiring manager. Shortlisted candidates may also be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
