Description
The job itself
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Ecologist to join the Council's busy Planning Service within the Natural Environment Team.
This is an exciting time to join the service, with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) now a key part of the planning system. You will play a central role in ensuring the effective delivery of BNG through development, including the assessment of Biodiversity Gain Plans, ecological surveys, and submissions under the Habitat Regulations.
Working closely with Planning Officers, elected Members, developers, and consultees, you will also provide clear and proportionate ecological advice to officers, members of the public and other stakeholders.
