An opportunity has arisen to join the Cardiac Physiology team in ABUHB. It is an exciting time for ABUHB with our new £350m Specialist and Critical Care Centre, the Grange University Hospital. This purpose built hospital forms a key part of our Clinical Futures strategy to modernise health services in our Health Board. It is also an exciting time for Cardiac Physiology within ABUHB with the inception of a complex device service, in which the post holder will support the provision of a high quality service.
The service also offers a wide range of invasive and non-invasive investigations and therapies. These include Physiologist led and Medically supervised Exercise Tolerance testing,, HUTT, Ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring and event recorders, Myocardial Perfusion Imaging, Pacemaker and loop recorder implant, (including follow-up), and PCI angioplasty.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a friendly, caring and motivated individual to join the team to provide excellent service to our patients. Working alongside the Lead Physiologist, the post holder will assist in the running of all present services provided within Cardiac Rhythm Management. The post holder be expected to take on an area of managerial responsibility within the service and provide leadership and direction together with the lead physiologist for the team of Cardiac Physiologists.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
