We’re looking for a dynamic, creative, organised, and confident individual to develop a new visitor experience for Shugborough, as part of a project focusing on the development of the facilities and infrastructure. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing small projects and budgets.
What it's like to work here
Located almost equidistant between Stafford and Rugeley, Shugborough is the most significant surviving historic house, designed landscape, and estate in Staffordshire.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be part of the internal consultancy team. The role is based at Shugborough Estate, with a hybrid working environment offered.
What you'll be doing
As we begin an exciting new chapter for Shugborough, you will ensure all key partners are well-informed and engaged throughout the project, from concept to delivery. You will collaborate with various internal and external partners to meet tight deadlines and explore funding opportunities, including submitting funding applications.
You will develop key aspects of the visitor experience, bringing the property's story to life through engaging interpretation and essential amenities such as toilets and maps. Additionally, you will deliver play interventions across the property and develop the new ‘Explorer’s Wood’ play area.
Who we're looking for
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience and understanding of delivering excellent visitor experiences, with insight into audience needs and interpretation production
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Excellent communication skills, with experience in planning and executing communication strategies
* Ability to review, collate, and produce clear, accurate written materials
* Influencing skills that facilitate relationship building and maintenance; comfortable working with diverse groups
* Knowledge of fundraising processes and working with funders
