Job Description

Job Title: Site & Facilities ProfessionalLocation: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular roleSalary: £47,271 + depending on experienceWhat you’ll be doing:Developing and delivering the scope of work for SSNA plant, equipment, and strategic machining facilitiesAligning scope, schedules, and installation activities with the construction build programmeDeveloping technical specifications and supporting procurement, tendering, and European supplier engagementManaging programme funding, cost accounts, and delivery through to installation and handoverCoordinating site works in compliance with CDM regulationsManaging and engaging internal stakeholders, principal contractors, and the supply chainYour skills and experiences:Essential:CNC machining or equivalent trade backgroundProven experience in producing detailed plant and equipment specifications to support ITT’s (Invitation to Tender) processes and enable procurement funding approvalExperience in complex plant and equipment including civils and infrastructureSQEP in Supply Chain contracting arrangements for site works, including NEC (New engineering contracts), cost account management, and capital expenditure controlExperience managing CDM construction sites within an operational environment, ensuring compliance with CDM RegulationsExperience in stakeholder and subcontractor management, including leading multi-skilled trade teamsDesirable:Proficient with Microsoft OfficeBackground in coordinating complex site worksExtensive experience of Submarine fabrication, manufacturing and outfit/build processes and equipmentBenefits:As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Site and Facilities Major Projects team:This is a growing, high-performing team of approximately 25 people, delivering a diverse range of plant, equipment, and facilities projects across the DN and SSNA programmes. The team is responsible for supplying remaining plant and equipment requirements, developing new facilities, and refurbishing existing assets as the programmes continue to expand.

This role offers a wide variety of work, with extensive engagement across the business at multiple levels. You’ll be joining a proactive, highly experienced team with a strong depth of knowledge across site, offering excellent opportunities for learning, collaboration, and career growth.
