M&E Health & Safety Workshop Manager Role Description The M&E BU H&S Workshop Manager is responsible for the successful management and administration of work relating to the maintenance and testing of essential H&S equipment (Breathing apparatus and Gas monitors) for all staff in NI Water. Also, ensuring compliance with regulations in relation to Portable Appliance testing (PAT) and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER). NI Water sites must be inspected and tested as per the Portable Appliance testing (PAT) and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and any associated amendments. Additionally all faults identified as part of the inspection and testing must be made good to achieve conformity with all parts of the relevant legislation. Candidates MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview that they meet the following, essential criteria: ESSENTIAL CRITERIA 1. Have a relevant Electrical/Mechanical National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 3 AND have a minimum of three years relevant post qualification trade experience OR Have completed a recognised apprenticeship AND have a minimum of three years relevant post apprenticeship trade experience working as a craftsman. AND 2. At least one years’ experience in supervising/monitoring staff or contractors 3. Competent in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. 4. A full, current driving licence or access to a form of transport to enable the candidate to fulfil their responsibilities. What is on Offer Salary This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £32,166 to £39,314 per annum The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
