Description
We are looking for a Test and Commissioning Technician to support the commissioning and final test of our track test products. The track test electric vehicle products used in the development of driver assistance systems and automated driving. Working as part of a small team under the operations umbrella you will be commissioning and testing all aspects of the products along with fault finding and diagnosing any performance/ out of spec issues and providing support to close out any problems. The role will involve taking the products to our test track where you will perform a series of specific tests to ensure the product conforms to our desired specification and delivers on all our customer requirements. The role does involve an element of lifting and moving large products around on a trolley along with loading and unloading a trailer, so requires the candidate to be physically fit.
Core Responsibilities
* Electrical and mechanical commissioning of each new build
* Fault finding and servicing of existing products.
* Performing functional tests on various components such as motors, braking and suspension
* Hardware installation and software programming and testing
* Track testing of platforms
* Full system clean up
* Documentation and data capture of all results
* Preparing the finished product for shipping and final sign off.
What are we looking for?
Essential
* Electrical or mechanical technical qualification, NVQ 3, or technical degree
* Experience of automotive electronics
* Microsoft proficient
Desirable
* Familiarity with ISO9001 standards
* IPC qualified.

* Able to manage and prioritise multiple demands.
* Ability to work to deadlines and as part of a team.
* Critical thinker with a good understanding of engineering
