We’re partnering exclusively with SaxaVord Spaceport in their search for a dynamic Head of Engineering. This is a unique opportunity to lead all engineering activities across launch and support sites, playing a critical role in the success of spaceflight operations.
In this role, you will:
* Lead implementation of new engineering capabilities for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
* Ensure compliance with regulations for installation, maintenance, and operations.
* Develop and manage a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Provide expert engineering advice to internal teams and clients.
* Align operations with CDM 2015 regulations and maintain risk registers.
* Achieve 95%+ asset availability for routine operations and 100% during launches.
* Investigate incidents, supervise system integration, and monitor readiness for key milestones.
* Act as deputy for the Operations Manager and identify future capability gaps.
