Graduate Civil Engineer
We're looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Natural Resources team and be involved in our prestigious Royal Devonport project in Plymouth.
Location: Plymouth, Southwest
Starting Salary: £30,000 per annum with potential £4,750 car allowance depending on eligibility/project; Salary potential of circa £38k upon completion of the 2‑year programme.
Pathway: Permanent, Full‑time 2‑year programme leading to an assistant level role after completion.
Starting date: September 2026

Natural Resources – we provide design, build and maintenance solutions to protect the UK's essential services and assets. Working across water, nuclear and other decarbonised energy, environmental and waterways sectors, we provide sustainable and safe solutions for our clients and customers while protecting and restoring natural habitats.
What you will be responsible for?
As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be an essential part of our engineering team, helping to shape the future of construction across the UK. You will have the chance to work in a variety of teams, either on‑site where the action happens or in a design‑based role, depending on where your interests lie.
Day‑to‑day duties include
* Assisting in the preparation and management of project designs, plans and specifications
* Supporting the development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets
* Conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards and quality requirements
* Collaborating with project managers and engineers to solve technical issues and ensure project success
* Preparing technical reports, documentation and providing project updates

What are we looking for?
We're looking for people due to graduate in 2026, or who have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Civil Engineering.
The role is suitable if you meet the following:
* Hold a related degree in Civil Engineering
* Are excited about starting a career in construction engineering
* Are organized, with strong time‑management skills
* Enjoy solving problems and possess strong analytical abilities
* Hold a full UK drivers' licence
