Senior Vice President, Client Operations
Responsibilities
Institutional client relationships, ensure high-quality delivery, and convert satisfaction into growth through proactive issue resolution and cross‑functional execution. Own end‑to‑end client engagement, partnering with Service and Commercial teams to strengthen relationships and drive retention and growth. Deepen executive‑level relationships with institutional investment offices and key BNY stakeholders to elevate client satisfaction and expand cross‑sell of BNY services. Serve as the primary point of contact for Global Risk Solutions (Performance & Compliance), resolving complex internal/external inquiries across performance measurement, asset allocation, attribution, risk, and investment analytics.
Lead initiatives and projects independently; deliver high‑quality client service while orchestrating multi‑stakeholder work across sales, onboarding, migration, and conversion. Coordinate cross‑functionally to align investment data, operations, and technology; accelerate resolution of data‑quality and complex technical issues to safeguard client outcomes.
Provide senior consulting leadership: set strategic direction, oversee execution quality, and mentor team members to build capability and ensure high quality service.
Qualifications
* Executive communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; adept at toggling between deep analytical detail and high‑level narratives tailored to client sophistication.
* Financial acumen: Strong grounding in industry concepts, performance, attribution, and investment/risk analytics; practical fluency with institutional investor use cases.
* Data and tooling: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SQL and visualization platforms; confident using query databases and analytical tools.
* Investment data expertise: Deep understanding of investment data workflows, vendor data sources, and interactions across managers, administrators, consultants, and service providers.
* Alternatives and derivatives: Deep expertise across private markets and hedge strategies, with advanced command of derivative instruments (options, swaps, futures). Proficient in translating complex positions into performance and notional‑adjusted exposure reporting and comprehensive risk metrics (factor and scenario analysis, VaR/ES, stress testing, liquidity and funding risks).
* Regulatory awareness: Exposure to regional/country regulatory reporting and how performance/risk data underpins those disclosures. Significant experience in relevant domains (Fund Accounting, Performance, Compliance), with a track record of delivering high‑quality analyses and client outcomes.
* Bachelor's in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Mathematics (or equivalent). Preferred: Master's degree and professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CIPM, CAIA, FRM, ACCA, CIMA).
Location
This role is located in Manchester, UK (4 days in office expectation).
