Job Description
We are currently seeking an interim Laboratory Co-ordinator to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. Become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based at our client’s scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral. It is easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role until 31/12/2025, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation is competitive, up to £24,700 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Job Purpose
You will work with the B&W Fragrance team based in Port Sunlight to assist in general laboratory activities, including sample coordination and preparation, fragrance evaluation preparation, participation in evaluations, and capturing evaluation comments for various projects.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a temporary laboratory assistant to help with a range of laboratory activities:
* Logging and coordination of samples for evaluation
* Preparation of samples for evaluations and consumer tests
* Fragrance evaluation preparation and participation in evaluations
* Capturing evaluation comments in the digital evaluation tool
* Coordination of un-fragranced bases from UL sites to Fragrance Houses
* Regular updates of evaluation tracker
* Generating new fragrance specification requests
* Following up with suppliers for project documentation and sampling
* Any other laboratory-related activities as required
About You
* An educational background in Cosmetic Science and/or Engineering to BSc level would be advantageous but not essential.
* Laboratory working experience would be advantageous but not essential.
* Proficient IT skills, e.g., Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Power BI, & Power Apps, would be advantageous.
* Working knowledge of management software programs, including LIMS, would be advantageous.
