With continued growth across their European network, they are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their dynamic operations team based near Folkestone.
Job Description
As a Freight Forwarder, you will play a key role in coordinating international shipments, ensuring all movements are completed efficiently and in line with customer expectations. You will manage end-to-end freight operations, liaising with internal teams, external partners, and clients to deliver exceptional service.Key Responsibilities:
3. Manage import and export freight movements across European routes
4. Liaise daily with hauliers, customers, and partner offices to ensure timely deliveries
5. Prepare and manage all relevant transport documentation
6. Track and monitor shipments, proactively resolving any service issues
7. Provide accurate quotations and maintain cost control on all jobs
8. Ensure compliance with customs and legal requirements
9. Maintain strong working relationships with customers to enhance service levels
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with solid experience in European freight forwarding. You will be organised, commercially aware, and thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.You will ideally have:
10. Experience in a Freight Forwarding or Transport Operations role
11. Strong knowledge of European road freight and customs processes
12. Excellent communication and customer service skills
13. Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office
14. The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
15. The ability to speak another european language is desired but not requried

On offer for the successful Freight Forwarder candidate is the following:
16. Base Salary - £40k
17. Monday to Friday (8am-5pm)
18. On call rota bonus for each call taken
