Tucked between towering peaks, glistening lakes, and rolling foothills lies Cranbrook—the heart of British Columbia's scenic Kootenay region. This extraordinary haven offers a rich experience for the soul, with opportunities for arts, adventure, and community life.
Enjoy Cranbrook's vibrant arts scene, locally brewed craft beer, and farm-to-table cuisine. Consider nearby towns like Kimberley or Jaffray as your home base—just a 25-minute commute, offering a balance of convenience and scenic beauty.
The Cranbrook UPCC is part of the East Kootenay (EK) Primary Care Network (PCN), a partnership between the EK Division of Family Practice, Interior Health, and the Ktunaxa Nation. It operates within ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa, the homeland of the Ktunaxa people.
The target population for the Cranbrook UPCC includes the general population, providing services across the care continuum. The service model includes:
1. Longitudinal full-service primary care for patients attached to the UPCC, provided during regular hours (08:30-17:00, five days a week).
2. Urgent and episodic primary care for the general population, available from 08:30-20:00 on weekdays and 09:30-20:00 on weekends and holidays.
Balance and flexibility are key—join the team at the Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) in Cranbrook, either part-time or full-time, according to your schedule.
The UPCC team includes family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurse team leads, primary care RNs, social workers, medical office assistants, and an operational manager. The focus is on non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries requiring same-day care, including unattached patients.
Imagine a career as a family physician that adapts to your life, balancing professional fulfillment and personal wellbeing daily.
