Qualified Social Worker needed for our Assessment and Intervention Team in Devon , paying Up to £42 ph!

• Location: Countywide across Devon
• Rate of Pay: Up to £42 per hour
• Additional Allowance: £150 per week accommodation/commuter allowance available for eligible candidates*

About the role

As an Advanced Social Worker, you will work closely with your Team Manager to provide professional leadership, guidance, and supervision to colleagues within the team. You will support the day-to-day operation of the service while helping to drive high standards of practice and positive outcomes for children and families.

This is a hands‑on role with a reduced caseload, enabling you to focus on children and families with complex needs. You will undertake in‑depth assessments, provide expert interventions, and use your experience to mentor, coach, and develop less experienced practitioners and students.

You will play a key role in embedding evidence‑based practice, championing continuous learning, and supporting a culture of reflection and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a smaller caseload involving children and families with complex needs.
• Undertake comprehensive and analytical assessments and interventions.
• Provide professional leadership and practice support within the team.
• Mentor, coach, and supervise colleagues, students, and less experienced social workers.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training and support practice development.
• Promote high standards of social work practice and evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Contribute to service improvement and quality assurance activities.
• Work effectively within a multi‑agency environment to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
